BEFORE FOCO WAS A RESTAURANT, IT WAS A RITUAL.

Every Wednesday since 2021, we have been cooking pasta for the community.

What started as a small gathering at home became Pasta Party: good food and an environment where you can make friends, a small place where everyone had to make a little room for someone else.

No tickets. No guestlist culture. No public promotion.

People met in person. They shared food, stayed longer and became part of the family.

PASTA. PEOPLE. GIFTING.

Pasta Party was inspired by the gifting principle of Burning Man and built around a simple idea: create something for the community without expecting anything back.

Dinner was always offered. Everybody contributed. The gift was to strangers, not only friends.

New people kept arriving. Some came back the following Wednesday. Some past by. Some became part of the family.

And somewhere along the way, the community expanded and we started receiving more and more requests with the same question:

“How do I get in?”

THE TABLE GOT BIGGER

IT GREW.

What started in a small house in Tokyo travelled further.

New Pasta Party editions started appearing in other cities and countries. So we wrote a manifesto — not to control, but to protect the soul of Pasta Party, what made it unique.

Pasta. Vibe. Generosity. Openness. People willing to meet each other.

The table got bigger.

IT’S TIME

THEN CAME FOCO.

After five years of Pasta Party, opening a restaurant started to feel less like starting something new and more like giving a permanent home to something that already existed.

FOCO is the natural evolution of that table.

A neighborhood izakaya where we can keep cooking, introducing people and creating the kind of nights that made us want to do this in the first place.

The food gets more serious. The kitchen gets bigger. The door stays open.

Same spirit. A permanent home.
