OPENING SOON
A neighborhood izakaya,
with Italian roots and a Tokyo rhythm.
FOCO is being built by Sandro Bacchi, Paco La Monica and Alessio Gorni around a simple idea:
serious food, easy energy, and a room shaped as much by the people in it as by the people behind the counter.
An open kitchen. A close counter. Seasonal ingredients. Raw dishes, charcoal, pasta for the table, and a menu that keeps moving.
The food starts in Italy, but is shaped by where we have lived and, most of all, by where we are now: Japan.
Come for dinner. Stay for another glass, a late plate of pasta, a conversation, a familiar face, or someone you haven’t met yet.
The room changes with the people in it.
For the people, from the people.
VISION
One of those places you keep coming back to.
Familiar without becoming predictable. Alive without trying too hard. Part of the neighborhood rather than simply located in it.
MISSION
To bring people together through serious food and easy hospitality.
Italian roots, Tokyo rhythm, an open kitchen, a shared counter. Come for the food, stay a little longer.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
COMMUNITY FIRST
FOCO belongs to the people around it.
Regulars, newcomers, friends, neighbors and strangers all help shape the community.
SHARE THE TABLE
Food as the starting point.
What happens around it is just as important.
Plates, stories, time — pass them around.
SERIOUS FOOD, EASY ENERGY
We care deeply about ingredients and cooking,
without making the experience feel formal.
MAKE ROOM
Different backgrounds, tastes, ideas, cultures and people make FOCO better.
There is always room for one more.
STAY CURIOUS
The menu, the music, the collaborations and the people around us keep evolving.
Never completely finished.
BE HUMAN
Warmth, generosity, spontaneity and real interaction come before scripts or perfection.
